Half a year!

Wyatt is half a year!
At 6 months...Wyatt...
...weighs 18lb 8 oz. (63%)
...is almost 29 in. tall (93%)
and has a large head!

I feel like from month 5 to 6 was a HUGE time of growth for our baby boy, developmentally, physically and emotionally and he experienced so much!

Wyatt went on his first ferry ride!

He had some of his hair cut! We cut off all but one of the knots he'd made on the back of his head...one dread remains in order to confuse everyone who wants to pick the "fuzz" out of his hair!

We visited our Haskins friends in Port Townsend and he witnessed his first parade.

He went to his first family reunion. Actually, he was in my tummy at last year's but most people didn't know!
He is sitting for more than a few minutes unassisted but still falling over when not concentrating. It all depends on how the head hits whether he screams or not.
He finds new ways to make silly faces without even trying.

He discovered how much he loves toe popsicles and will suck on his big toe like it's a thumb. His thumb is the best thing in the world for his sleep, which is similar to last month with one to two feedings.
Other tidbits...
His first tooth was discovered on June 3rd!
He no longer gets angry when he rolls onto his tummy when in bed and usually falls right back asleep.
Regarding sleep...it feels like in the last couple of months it's almost like he discovered that when he's tired sleep feels so good so he (usually) immediately falls asleep whenever we allow him to, whether it's in the car, at home or in the stroller...as long as he's actually tired! What an amazing difference this is compared the the baby who could fight sleep for hours...just because he was so sleepy!!
He makes the sounds:mmm, ghhh, blleh, baa in addition to his other sounds.
He can push himself in a half circle to get places or scrunch his bottom up into the air but gets frustrated with this quickly.
He acts like he's going somewhere but doesn't know how to do it.
He tried his first solids when we were out to breakfast at the Little Cheerful on his half birthday.  It was avocado and he mostly just let it sit in his mouth and then slowly dribble out.

Way to go WyGuy!

We love you more every month and are so impressed by all your accomplishments!
