Fly guy WyGuy!

We've got a traveler on our hands folks!

In our dreams we will have kids who are flexible, adventurous, and who love to see, do and eat new things.  They will be eager to travel to new destinations and cultures to get a glimpse of life outside their norm and will look forward to each excursion they get to partake in. Who knows if Wyatt has these traits, but he was a CHAMP during his first big trip...across the country none the less!

This particular trip was a great way to get our feet wet, with some kind of crazy logistics that worked out surprisingly well.  Nate's work awards convention was in Clearwater Florida this year.  Since we knew that we'd have a new tiny baby the plan was for me to miss it this year and stay home with Wyatt.  Well, Nate went ahead and got his best standing yet, NUMBER 1 in the company! This is a huge deal.  This trip would recognize his amazing accomplishment and would include a bonus day for his results.  Unfortunately, the company cannot allow ANYONE under 21 at any of the events.  So, how to allow us all to go?  Enter Andrea, Nate's sister and Ann, Nate's mom!  They came to Florida too, to be Wyatt's nannies!  They were with him the entire time.  We got to travel with him, visit with him every day AND participate in all the events.

For all 4 flights, there and back, Wyatt slept in our arms pretty much the entire time!  We swaddled him up and he was out, which is quite unusual for him.

Who knew there's a changing table
                                                                     on the plane?
He's usually not a very messy baby, but this adorable flying outfit was spit on and pooped on within half an hour of putting it on!  At least we got a picture!
Lounging. Aren't those sunglasses amazing?
Nate and I had early morning business meetings and informal awards....while Wyatt, Andrea and Ann were...
sleeping...
riding in the ergo... sitting in the hotel room...
eating...(look, no hands!)
We got a 20 minute glimpse of afternoon sunshine but mostly this Florida weather was 60 degrees and cloudy, OR down pouring.

I didn't get any photos with my camera during the actual awards gala, but they did a great job of honoring the hard work that was done and it was so fun to see Nate rewarded for his success.  I'm so proud of him!

All in all, with Auntie Andrea and Grandma to play with plus cuddles during nap time, Wyatt seems to think this traveling thing isn't a bad idea at all!
